Who We Are
Mountain of Hope is a non-profit Christian organization made up of servants of God, sent by God to help the people of Honduras by sharing the Gospel of Jesus through health care, fresh, clean, drinking water, and supporting the education of the Honduran communities we serve.
Before Mountain of Hope came to Quince, infant mortality was high, and disease was widespread. In addition to building medical clinics and school classrooms, we addressed contaminated drinking water by bringing well-drilling equipment.
Since then, Mountain of Hope has drilled clean, safe water wells for over 100 villages. The result: the region’s health has dramatically improved. The children grow up healthy, and infant mortality is down.
We also sponsor a yearly mission trip to Quince, where we work/assist in our medical/dental clinic, which provides critical medical care to the region. Others help with the numerous maintenance and building projects, all as we worship and share the love of Christ with our sister church, San Pedro, and the community.
What We Do
Clean Water
Jesus said to her, ” Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty again.”
John 4: 13-14.
Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war.
Medical/Dental Clinic
And when Jesus heard it, he said to them, ” Those who are well have no need of a physician,but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous,but sinners.”
